Theory & Practical 

The working environment often involves moving, lifting, pushing and pulling loads. Our training highlights the risks of moving and handling. It provides learners with the knowledge and skills required for safe moving and handling without causing injury to themselves or their colleagues.

This course is an interactive program that includes group discussion, trainer presentation, quizzes, videos and a chance for everyone to get involved.

The course covers a range of subjects, centred-on correct Moving and Handling to ensure the safety of the learner and those around them.

  • What is Moving & Handling?
  • Recognising risk factors and how injuries can occur
  • Understanding employer and employee responsibilities
  • Legislation and local policies
  • Ergonomics
  • Additional advice and information
  • Principles of good back care
  • Risk management and assessments, including on-the-spot assessments
  • Choosing suitable risk control strategies, resources and support

    Improve you customer care skills to give great service every time
  • Dementia Awareness
    This course will equip learners with the knowledge to appropriately support a dementia sufferer.
  • Mental Health Awareness
    This course aims to increase the learners’ awareness of mental health to ensure they are equipped to deal appropriately with the needs of colleagues, family members or service-users who may be experiencing mental health issues.
  • Adult Safeguarding – Levels 1 & 2 (Core Session)
    Our safeguarding training is tailored to support those caring for and working with adults at risk. The training is a blend of theory and scenario based group-work.
  • Adult Safeguarding – Levels 3, 4 & 5
    This training session expands on Levels 1 & 2 by providing workers in any health or social care setting with the knowledge and skills on how to proceed when a safeguarding concern is made.
